The Fiat Professional brand distinguishes the commercial vehicles produced by FCA Italy S.p.A, a business built on competent and motivated people, professionals serving professionals and on concrete facts: a wide, full range developed to meet all transport needs, vehicles designed to minimise fuel consumption and running costs, maximising profitability.
1903 saw the launch of Fiat’s first commercial vehicle and since then, the business has become an increasingly important part of the Fiat Group activities. Due to its wide range and over one hundred years of experience, Fiat Professional has become a leader in its sector.
All vehicles in the Fiat Professional range are designed and built to meet the needs of professionals. They have been awarded many international prizes by panels of trade journalists. One of the most important was Van of the Year: won in 1994 by the Ducato, in 2006 by the Doblò Cargo, in 2008 by the Scudo, in 2009 by the Fiorino and in 2010 by the New Doblò Cargo.
In 2012 and 2013, Fiat Professional won the prestigious Greenfleet Award which rewards commitment to reducing CO2 emissions and fuel saving.
2016 was a year of important firsts for Fiat Professional. The launch of Fullback, voted Pick-up of the year 2017 by 4x4 magazine, marked the brand’s entry into the Pick-up market and together with the new Talento, the new Fiorino and other commercial vehicles, it completes the full line range. 2016 was also an unforgettable year for Ducato, which celebrated 35 years of hard work and for the exceptional partnership with the Motocross MxGP world championship and world champion Tony Cairoli.
In 2017, readers of the prestigious German trade magazine Promobil, voted Ducato “Best Motorhome Base” for the tenth consecutive year, confirming its leadership in this sector.
Continuing on the road to success, in 2017 Fiat Professional decided to engage a new ambassador, famous for heroic gestures. The actor and martial artist Chuck Norris, who became popular on the internet due his legendary indestructible character, embodies the values of Fiat Professional with the right level of irony.
Strengthened by its successes, Fiat Professional continues to work to consolidate its leadership by developing its already extensive sales network. Today, there are more 1500 Dealerships in Europe and over 4500 service centres.
Fiat Professional vehicles are currently produced in many plants worldwide, including the Sevel factory in Val di Sangro, where the Ducato is produced - the largest light commercial vehicle plant in Europe (in 2016 it achieved the goal of producing 5 million vehicles).
